Wal-Mart has been working with the Carding Wool Company to develop a new, “safer” version of its carding-wool product.
Carding wool is used in hand wash and to cover shoes and boots, and in cosmetics, textiles and textiles-for-sale.
Its fibers are also used to make carding shirts and shirts for fashion shows.
The company’s website lists carding as an ingredient in its hand-washing products.
But Wal-mart said in a statement that it’s been working for the past three years with Carding to improve the fabric, packaging and manufacturing processes.
It says the new product “is a safer, more environmentally-friendly alternative to Carding’s current carding fabric.”
It’s also a lot more affordable than the $3.99 per yard ($5.99 for a kilogram) it once cost.
