Cowboys’ Elliott, Rodgers in trade talks as free agents

Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott and wide receiver Dez Bryant will be the first free agents to sign with the Los Angeles Rams on Thursday, according to multiple reports.

The Cowboys are also expected to trade wide receiver Michael Thomas to the Chicago Bears, according a league source.

Both players will join free agents such as running back Matt Forte, defensive tackle Terrance Knighton and safety Kenny Vaccaro, according, ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter.

Cleveland Browns wide receiver Josh Gordon and safety Tashaun Gipson are also believed to be on the move, ESPN reported.

The Rams are reportedly looking to trade cornerback Cortland Finnegan and cornerback Jalen Ramsey, ESPN’s Chris Mortensen reported Thursday.

The Rams also could be in on cornerback Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie.

The two teams have not had a contract signed yet, but are expected to have one in the next few days, NFL Media Insider Ian Rapoport reported Thursday, citing a source.

Rams general manager Les Snead was not available for comment.

Rookie linebacker Alec Ogletree is expected to be released by the team, the Los Angles Times reported Thursday night.

A source told NFL Media’s Mike Garafolo that the Rams are looking to clear cap space for an offseason trade, per Rapoports report.

The Eagles have also been linked to the team.

The team is reportedly interested in acquiring quarterback Carson Wentz, according NFL Media reporter Ian Raponas report.
